304 exhaust system

Does anyone make a scrambler exhaust system for a 304. I have the manifolds but looking for the complete exhaust. I’m thinking I’m going to have to but a CJ7 system and make the intermediate pipe, but would rather have the whole system from one company.

Closest I ever saw for a complete bolt on would have been years ago, fenderwells exit with side pipe. Not what it sounds like you want. I don't believe one was ever offered for sale, mass produced, since a V8 CJ8 was never a factory thing tho some claim it was, no proof has ever been seen(that I am aware of).

Probably your best bet is, as you say, get the CJ7 304 exhaust, possibly get a Cj8 tail pipe, and fill in the gap with a longer pipe and/or a catalytic converter if needed.

No company would make something like as there probably are a handful of 304 swaps into Scramblers and 37+ years later there is no money to be made for this.

I would go to a muffler/exhaust shop and have them make you one... you would be miles ahead in terms of work/frustration and they would be done in a couple hours.

A little out of the box...but what about a ScoutII exhaust. Just a thought. Custom is probably the quickest and cleanest.

Thanks everyone. I figured no one made it. Think I'll go the CJ7 route and get an exhaust shop to make up the pieces to fit in between.

Might be more than the pieces between. Probably a section before the rear axle and one after. CJ-8 length was stretched in both places.
