5 speed in 82 Scrambler needs some work. Sloppy, jumps out of second a d fourth. 135k miles on it. Rebuild or replace?

Upgrade to 5 speed out of a wrangler

The T5 transmission is not known to be very durable. If it is jumping out of gear, the case is probably bent and possibly cracked causing the gears to spread under load.

Best option is an AX15 if you can get one.
