Restoring bed ?
Geesh compared to a couple I own & many I have seen all the restore needed was spray some rust converter & paint & it is good to go! Seriously looks good. Keep it up & keep the pics coming.
Welding metal plates and angle iron to reinforce the support for the roll bar. Halfway done still have the other half and the bulkhead to the bed with angle iron.
Looking good! Be carefull. I borrowed a good sandblaster when I stripped my bed and after removing the paint in those same areas I found rot on the side panels. The sand blaster poked small "rust out" holes through the side of the body in front and behind the fender wells. Not a bad fix but If I had not stripped it I would not have seen the damage in areas that will surely be visible in the near future. Keep the pics coming!
Today grinded out the rust spots mainly around the roll bar base. Used metal sheet to patch holes and eventually going to weld angle iron to bulkhead and metal patch.
