I've got to quit looking at pictures like this because I swear that my Stump Jumper project is going to be my last build.

Oh I still have dreams of lots of cars and girls but my back and muscles are protesting.

The 62 pickup above is a nice survivor in my area with factory PTO front winch and an added hydraulic dump bed in the late 80s. Agree that these old pickups are about as cool as an old Willis gets and Zr should sell the Hummer and build one, but I am a little partial too, as I have a final year for the flat head 6cyl super hurricane '62 as well.

You had me at hello

Becoming quite partial to the ratrod scene. Kinda thinking about doing the business on my parts wagon. Big fat wheels in big fat tubs and very low. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1462787828.683208.jpg
As far as rust goes it's already halfway there.

Wow, hadn't seen those before.

Any more info or pics from that line-up?

I have always liked the rat rod look. To me it looks like a vehicle that was purpose built with anything that could be sourced. Rather than just throwing a checkbook at a builder and getting a car built for shows. Whether or not those assumptions are true for either case, that is the way I think it looks.

It takes all kinds to make the world work. If I owned that I would look at it and think, what am I going to do with this peace of chit now. Just me. :)

a few more for you

This is my kind of rat rod. Nice and clean. Although it doesn't meet the standard definition. More like a resto mod rat? Mink rod? Gerbil rod?

Oh my. Back on track... :bacon:

Spotted Sunday AM on interstate 280 in NJ. A rare occurrence indeed. .

No license plates and some sort of temporary piece of paper hanging in the back window. Driven by a woman in her 30s and no other people inside. I would have flagged her down and asked her to marry me, but I was already way too late for Mother's Day activities.
