Wouldn't that trans pan be for a drivers drop application? I don't know of any 4l60 applications that used passenger drop.
No, the V8 Canyons and H3 Alphas drop the passenger side and thus, have driveshaft clearance, as the Isuzu sourced transfer case is D300 sized.

I think I am going to make a new skid plate/mount for my CJ's 20G plastic tank and use one of these:

I plan to use Dakota Digital gauges, so the sending unit isn't a big deal, but for some reason want to stick with CJ stuff, instead of making my own tank and using a GM sending unit. Like this one.

I am bummed. Barnes 4wd used to make a variety of dropped skid plates for us.

Now it's just a 3".

AND they hit a very big pet peeve of mine, they cut their logo into it.

I got the frame welded sufficiently and stuck the nose back on to check clearances. Plenty of room for a big radiator and didn't realize until I recieved a metal splinter that this grill shell is cut for a bigger radiator and has some rust on it.

So I may go looking for a new one... and I may delay paint until I figure out the radiator.
I am rebuilding the steering column now, decided to run a CJ steering shaft by Flaming River and do a remote steering reservoir.

I ordered the custom valve body to clear the trans pan that clears the front driveshaft, the pan, gasket and seal. I am also modding that vavle body to manage more HP/TQ.

And of course, I buy a 1969 Bronco chassis for the rear end... and do a major shop clean up... guess what I find?

56" wide, with the 5 X 5.5" 31 spline cut to fit shafts... and I have a few 31 spline 3rds that will work.

We'll do disk brakes with a parking brake on it. Yes, that's a provider pic... I didn't have my phone on me when I was cleaning.

Picked up a GenRight 20g fuel tank skid, to go with my plastic tank.

I also found an older, unused Barnes skid

This has been sidelined, while I finish up my other two Jeeps. Get back to it in a bit.

Yea, "Jeep Rod" - All aluminum, C7 Vette suspension and brakes, 2019 LT4 with "stuff", 8L90E.

It's pretty much done, so about 2 years too late for a build thread.

The YJ was a "They go together like legos" project I acquired about 3 weeks before the CJ8. Sniper'd SBC383, 700R4, NP241, 8.8 rear, D30 front.

So, I did the Holley 301-1 oil pan on this today... not so easy when you're flat on your back under 235 series tires.

The auto lifts all had stuff on it.

Tuesday, in the paint shop.

I am really, really resisting this as a "might as well" build...

Like I have a Chevy Dana 60 here, with the right gears in it to host 37" tires on this. Cut the long side to fit CJ spring width and pair it with a Cab and Chassis 14B and they sit right at 64" WMS to WMS.
Thing is, will never wheel this, but I have all the stuff.

Could look like this one I did a few years ago for a friend. Spring over on 1.5" OME YJ leaves.

drilled holes, fixed cracks and TIG welded the doors up. Took them down to bare metal and now in full epoxy high build primer.

Going with a flashier silver, GM code WA9021

Took the broken bolts out of the doors.

Yep, the YJ was in non-running from from Rooster. We texted about some parts for it. Did much to it, going to keep going on it. You're welcome to spin by for a beer sometime and see any of this crap?

So back to this, I decided to go with a Chevy 44 front, that I will cut to fit 27.5" spring spacing, SOA on stock leaves to run 35" tires.

I have a Chevy 60 front I can do, also a steering 14B front, but seems overkill when Chromoly shafts and good 297X u-joints will handle 35's. I love the look of the Orange CJ8 we did, so might as well.

I have two 2004 SD F450 axle to cut to TJ width, my 1974 D44 to cut, a early Bronco 9" to disk brake and stick in a Scout, and a steering passenger side drop 14B, that is looking for a home. It's axle shortening and truss week!

So, will use the Chevy D44, cut to 27.5" spring pad spacing, SOA, which means about 64.5" wide, like the Orange CJ8 we did. I also have a Dana 60-2 that is getting aftermarket JK 35 spline axle shafts, with Dodge 1500 rotors to stay 5 on 5.5" with disk/parking brakes.

The axle shafts: https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/...5-spline-rear-axle-upgrade-kit-without-locker

Note they're double drilled and used in Ram 9.75"AAM applications as well. Using the late model bearing buckets/retainers, too.

I know, I am all over the place... but it all depends on what's available when the time comes. I owned both axles going into this and can modify them to take all off the shelf wearable parts.

What's funny to me, is all the old tech... I don't remember much of it, but found the recipe, that will work with the spindles I have.

76 and older chevy spindle, ford hub, rotor, and either chevy backing plates and calipers or the jeep backing plates and calipers

Or I could just buy this:
