Also bought the internal splined hubs for a customer's Scout and I think I am going to do the same thing for this, and keep the Dana 30 front. Do some Chromo's with the biggest u-joint that fits and call it done.

I run these with Warn chromo front shafts that use the Dana 44 u-joints, no issues in over 12 years. I am only running 33's with MPI 4.2/4.0 with 4:1 in the Dana 300.

Ran the same set up in the tan Scrambler that I sold, 33's, TBI350, 4L60, no issues.

Massive power, much larger tires, and more stupid pedal might bust them, but for my use they work great.

Yeah I've run them before. Switching to 30 spine also helps.

He sells out quite often, so if you want one for the shelf, I suggest buying one when they are in stock. It can take months for him to get them back in stock. This is a sideline hobby for him.

Keep in mind that a floor shift column automatic is a manual column. Automatic is for the column shift type.

Finishing up the frame mods this week, basically, someone badly welded up frame stiffener plates, with flux core and a 110A welder... then getting it into the spray booth for some Silver.

You have any photos to go along with your build narrative? I, as I assume others, would love to see your techniques in building.

Just ordered the Red Head Steering box, 3 locks, turn to turn for this: 2552-3T

Also ordered the 3 stainless steering joints and stainless DD slip shaft I need to clear the power steering pump.

Will rebuild the tilt, manual column too. Keying all the locks to the same key as well.

Checking into Saginaw TC Type 2 pumps with a remove resevoir.... 1200PSI will move that box nicely. Then I have to find a place on the fender for the reservoir. My normal go-to, a Jones TC pump with 18oz attached aluminum reservoir wouldn't clear the factory shaft.
