Bulkhead repair?

Has anyone repaired their bulkhead? Mine rusted away the bottom 3" & I'm thinking of ways to possibly make a weld on or rivet on a bottom for it

Shouldn't be terribly hard, I took shop class :ROFLMAO::unsure:

I welded a new bottom on mine, probably just the last 1" or so.
It's thin, so take your time and use copper or aluminum on the back to stop it distorting.
I put Rhinoliner on the back - and you can't really tell where i butchered it from the bed.
Suggest you bolt it into the bed and make pieces to fit the back wall, weld those on, trim the bottom, then cut and weld the bottom flange.

I’m having the same issue with the bulkhead bottom 1”. Where can I get the gasket?

Any structural issues with going the Summer without the bulkhead installed?

Can’t imagine there would be. Lots of people run without the and have back seats and full tops. Mine did not have one when I got mine until I went to put the top on. Are you planning to use the half cab without the bulkhead? Might be hard to secure the top, so I assume not.

For the 9 months/ year I have the hardtop off it will be nice to remove the bulkhead too.
I'm slowly building an overlander for when I retire (in approx 932 days 😂). No bulkhead, a bikini top. Truck bed racks with a basket forms a nice cocoon underneath. No bulkhead will expand the area a bit with both seats tilted forward 🤔👍🏼
More pics to follow but here's the start:
