Coast to Crawl: South Carolina to Rubicon Trail and back

So, the question I have is, were your rides sufficiently prepared for all the trails you attempted? Any that you said, geez, this wasn't as hard as I thought it would be?

We prepared for over a year and drove 6,234 miles and only had to tighten a few nuts. The skid system was critical and saved driveshaft and control arm points. The rear bumper took a beating due the overhang. The trail is challenging because it’s two days of obstacles in four low. There are buggy trails that are more complex and even more difficult. Likely none as scenic.

Perform as expected, one of three regeared and got 1 mile better per gallon. On the highway the front jeep always has lower gas mileage by 1-2 gallon. So we sometimes rotated to extend range.

On trail the gladiators did well, rear departure was always banging but trailer hitch skid took the beating.
