Coast to Crawl: South Carolina to Rubicon Trail and back

As we like to say down here, that’s a dry heat. I’m a little curious what the temp was at midnight ? Inside the camper tent. Looks like a great trip.

Day 15 we started with a departure at the Las Vegas Airport as we start the trek back to South Carolina. A quick detour to see the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead followed by long stretches of driving.

I remember around the late 60s we stopped and walked way out to the middle of the dam. Pretty impressive. Then we walked back to the car and drove slowly across. Very wide.

Day 16 started with a cactus trying to send us a message. We had heavy traffic in Tucson, we drove through a “Dust Devil”and later a dust storm in New Mexico.
