Is it possible to lengthen a cj7 and have a scrambler?

I'll have converted about 30-40 CJ-7s into 8s very soon, but on a much smaller scale (1/24)

I'm interested in converting a cj7 for cost reasons. I think it would be comparable to spend money converting a cj7 vs paying a high price for a nice scrambler

I'm not sure what you mean by converting. You'll have to swap the frame and the body and at that point you'll have to have gotten the two biggest parts of a CJ-8. You can add length to the back end of a -7 frame, I suppose, to mount the body... Think there may be a set of body mounts that need added too.

Anything's possible, but I think you're looking at a lot of work and a good Scrambler tub will not be cheap.

10k sounds like an awful lot for just something that you need to drive back and forth to school. Seen some workable Scramblers for 3500-5000 lately with this economy.
