Haha! Thank you for buying that. It was tempting me as it was only an hour or so away. Looking forward to your next creation. Have you ever been to Crossbar Ranch in Davis?

You’re welcome, haha!

I haven’t. Had a few buddies that have been but I haven’t had the chance yet.

Yeah plan is something that has better street manners than my crawler. This Jeep drove good, but not stock good. So I decided if I was going to make any concessions on driveability it was going to be one tons and 40’s. This Jeep will actually get paint though, so will be a break from my norm!

Do you own it again or did it come for a visit?

Planned on taking the wrecked JLU I bought to
Colorado but didn’t allow enough time to get it back together. Switched gears and started prepping the scrambler this past Thursday. Wanted to swap the leaf springs out, had an exhaust leak, and put the soft top and half doors on. Went to pull the Sanderson header off to re permatex it and had a surprise when pulling the very back manifold out.

It appears that the guy I bought the motor off of broke a manifold bolt at some point and attempted to drill it out to easy out it. Have not idea how I missed it when installing the headers a few years ago.

Had a buddy that had a set of 706 heads which was what was on there already. Went and picked them up and swung by oreillys for a head gasket and head bolts. 24 hours later (once the exhaust gasket cured) had it back going, always something!

Last bit of Colorado prep. Oil change and a quick bath to knock the dust off the soft top and doors that have been stored since 2016.
