Fresh 401 and Chrysler TH400. Looking for advice from someone that has done this swap. Did you modify the cross member or clock the transfer and use a two piece drive line.
Thanks for any help.IMG20220906181422.jpg

Someone will chime in that knows more than me...but I think most guys with the T400 are using a different T-case

Something looks off.

Is that a factory cross member? Does not look to have the recessed area for the front driveshaft.

The shifter looks to be pointed to the drivers side more than normal. Can be indexed down.

Try turning the shaft around, slip yoke at the differential end. See if the thinner end will clear.

Yes, factory cross member and the recess for the drive line is there. I have the case clocked at the moment to see what position will work best.

That looks like a later model cross member... would an earlier one work better due to the combination?
like 76-79 range? It is a lot flatter.

Because of the 4" lift if the case is clocked back in it's normal position the cross member will need to be slotted for the drive line to make the connection.
