This guy is off his rocker! :)

2001 Jeep Wrangler Brute 73K miles 4 owner / Jeep AEV Brute Dynatrac Pro Rock 60's, Built LS V8, Kings / $75,000.00

The owner must think he's a vehicle manufacturer, dealer, etc. I'd build rigs all day long if I could charge a huge profit margin when they were complete...and have someone pay it! This guy doesn't realize that it works in reverse, and is similar to driving a new vehicle off the lot. That's a $10-15K rig, at best.

"...not a fire sale." = I paid the 3rd owner way too much, and my pride will make me keep it 'til the day I die.

"I own many exotics, and this grabs more attention than any of them." The only reason it would grab my attention is because those big fat tires that stick waaay out each side make the body look like a little tin box sitting on the wrong platform. LOL

I'll agree that $75k is a stretch for a resale. But $10-15k? Those axles alone cost $12,000. Add the TJ, motor, suspension... you're over $30,000. And that's before you add the Lamborghini paint! ;-)

My 71 Chevy pickup in original condition gets more attention than all the other vehicles I have so it must be worth $75K.....

Yes, but keep in mind that it is all used parts when you're ready to sell it...just like that 2012 widget-mobile you may have purchased last January. In other words, I don't go into a dealership and buy a brand-new pickup truck for $75K in January, put 50K miles on it and try to sell it for $75K in December. I don't even try to sell that highly-engineered assembly of used parts found in that reputable-manufactured truck for 20% less than I paid, cuz it ain't worth it. So, why would I venture even close to paying new value for a bunch of used parts that may have been assembled into a complete unit by "Mater" and his pal "Lightning McQueen" in some back-alley shed.

See, I can use hipster cartoon-themed terminology like some of you other guys. :)

...I dig up my "COFFEE CAN" !!

How long has your coffee can been in the ground, Jim? You should be aware that recent studies indicated that the fumes or residue from the coffee causes a chemical reaction to the acids used in the paper production of US greenbacks. It takes a while, but the reaction actually removes all the print from the paper money, thus rendering them useless as an exchange currency. If you're going to keep money squirreled away in a coffee can or under your mattress, you're recommended to exchange it to a non-ferrous type metal currency. :)

WOW! The winning bidder has 0 feedback though... not always a good sign of actually selling it.

I wonder if the second place bidder will get an email... "If you are still interested, the first place bidder backed out". This has happened to me a few times, and I always look at my highest bid before the "shill account" started bidding, and that's the price I offer. Sad really...

Sad but true. There were 18 bids between only 4 bidders. You never can tell, if two people want it bad enough there is no telling how high something will go.

OEM Chrome Rear Bumper with end caps...$1,125.00!!

Don't get me wrong, I know these are a hard to find part, especially the end caps, but I only paid $200 for a NOS one with end caps less then two years ago (as did several other members here). If all the "hard to find" Scrambler parts, or CJ parts for that matter, go up like this, it is going to cost a fortune to restore one!
