I need to find someone who can make me a engine wiring harness and reflash my ECU for the LS conversion I'm doing on my 1984 CJ8. I am new and it's goint to take me a while to figure all this posting out.

I used Tech Rods in Kentucky. It's a completely new harness but you need to know what all you want don't to it. They don't do ECM's.

thank you for the information. today while talking with Orren at Advanced Adapters (no luck on smog approved headers he referred me to Howell Engines in Mich. who do a new specific harness and ECU on a very timely basis. If it is as good and as easy as it sounds i'll let you know and maybe try to add some photos.

I used the Howell harness and ECU and so far it is working ok. Instead of headers I would strongly recommend using the Camaro exhaust, they clear the engine mounts well, have ports for the O2 sensors, and breath well.

Did you look at the Cast Hooker Headers. I think that they have a CARB stamp.

DIY the harness and send the computer off!

Just finishing a 2009 L76/6l80 harness and ECM for a 2006 LJ

thank you for the information. i decided to go with howell for my wiring harness and in the process of going through the details with Matt at Howell found out the engine i bought is not the engine i was told i was going to get. good points bad points but Howell can make the adjustments. talk to engine suppler on monday, maybe get some money back or some free parts. anyone use the camaro or hooker headers on a cj? driveshaft/ steering shaft? haven't figured out how to sing off or list my toys yet, until i do thank you.
