Epic fails

Little hone and some new rings and that thing will be fine!

This is what it looks like when an oil line comes off of a non-compete AN fitting at rpm.

1984 CJ7 that died at only 59K original miles, I believe this happened after an oil change place failed to add oil, as there were only about 7 miles on the odometer more than what was on the oil change sticker...this enormous hole right by the exhaust then led to a huge engine fire, which counters my theory that it had no oil in it, because the oil burned the entire engine and turned the carter carb into a pile of molten aluminum. But perhaps just enough oil in it to start the fire.

Poor thing. How did the rest of it look?

Looks like you got a good kickdown linkage with it!

Lets see that molten carburetor pictures...

Will post those also when I get to that part of the disassembly. It reminds me of the face melting scene in Raiders of the Last Ark.

I love this one from a Jeep that 'Southern CJ Jeep Sales/Trade' is parting out:

Like Dawn said, it isn't gonna bend again in that spot!

just get a rebuild kit, it's fine.

Holy crap, that is really cool looking! One of the parts scramblers I had had one heck of a fire too, but not like that! You should put that carb on display.

It will go in my display yes. But Jeep? fiat jeep? That pathetic company doesn't even have a nice original CJ7 to display, just to name one model. They have no display. They and companies post AMC have a pathetic existence when it comes to anything display wise , going back to when someone at the reins decided it was a good idea to sell off the last CJ7 off the line.

Epic Fail of a window regulator. This happened from cranking on the window crank with the aftermarket seal on the straight side being way too tight. Once I got the regulator out of the way, I still couldn't move the glass by hand. I never thought this could happen to the regulator. I have seen them bend a little bit not like this ....

Here's what a LS7 looks like when a roller lifter comes apart and ping-pongs inside the bottom end..... carnage- 😎
