FINALLY!!! A Build Thread of My '82 Scrambler!

Quick update: Sandblasted the bottom of the tub then stood it on end and secured to the wall in the shop so I can A: fix crushed body mount and B: make a little more room for the Father-in-law to get some projects in.

Moving it back into the shop:

It is tall:

Crushed body mount:

I'm also finally getting my axles re-greared with the 4:10 gears and ARB lockers:

Fixed the crushed body mount. My welding skills are still poor. As my buddy says "I'm a grinder, not a welder". It will work though.

I think you will be pleased with the 4:10 gears. That's what I installed in my Stump Jumper build.

I hope so but I will be running 33" tires and not making as much horsepower as you! It should still be pretty good, at least until I can find a cheap/good LS to drop in!

Also doing an update of this build...

I sold the entire drivetrain (carburated 350, T-5, Dana 300) along with the motor mounts and full exhaust I had sourced. I'm now swapping in a 5.7 Hemi out of a 2005 Dodge Ram 4x4 and mating it to a NV3550 out of a TJ. I plan on running a Dana 300 with a 4:1 kit which I still need to source. Things have been on hold with this while I source parts and get my J10 build buttoned-up but it will live again!
