So the clutch went in my CJ7. It has a stock 360 motor with a T176. I’m running 35s with 4.10 gears.
Advance auto Luk. Around $165 (out of stock)
Autozone has their brand around same price
Napa was also around the same
They offer disc pressure plate pilot bushing throw out bearing and pilot bushing and alignment tool
I want to upgrade to a Center force. Wow. Its around $440. Plus u still need pilot bushing throw out bearing and alignment tool
Now I’m thinking of just going with the Napa
Also I’m using my application as 1982 J10 with 360
Any opinions?

I ordered the Luk from dial a clutch the last time I did mine, but it looks like they might not be in business anymore.

I've been happy with the Luk clutch in my T176 behind my 258.

Rockauto has a LUK for under $100. Check 'em out see if it is the same part #.
There is always a 5% off code online.

I have used Centerforce clutches in a lot of what I have built... but there is a difference in them between Stage I and II... one is more stock feeling and the other requires a tree trunk of a leg to drive it...

Go on to my build thread, post 315, page 16. My NAPA -LUK is referenced there with part number, etc. NEVER AGAIN will I go the cheap route.

So LUK is good or the cheap route?
I just ordered the Luk through Rock Auto and paid for 2 day shipping

I have used a couple of LUK clutches and was very happy. Other than Amazon selling me a returned one missing the bearing (replaced with a different one). Not Luk’s fault. Amazon’s.

The New clutch is in. I have a 360 AMC. I ordered for a 1982 J10 360
Old disc 10.4 in. New disc 11 inch. New disc has bigger springs
Both pressure plates same size.

I went with a Centerforce II when I replaced mine 15 years ago. Never an issue of any sort (except with the driver). Kinda stiff though. Might want to do some squats to get your left leg in condition.
