Half cab install issue

Hi everyone,

Had an issue putting on the half cab and was wondering if I’m slow or if something on my tub/bulkhead isn’t quite right. The passenger side of the cab seems to be too far from the door, while the driver side of the cab seems to be too close to to door, as it doesn’t shut all the way. Did I miss something in this process? Is the windshield angle wrong? Thanks for any input! You're slow😁. Honestly i have never had an issue so can't really help. Maybe measure the distance from the rollback to windshield on each side and see if it square to the tub?

Double check your door adjustments. Although it may just be the angle of the photo, the driver's side appears to be hanging pretty low. The down side is that all of the adjustments begin with the doors and go to the windshield followed by the bulkhead followed by the top. When I reinstalled the top on my new MD tub it took a couple of days of tweaking to get it right. I also had to spend time making sure the 1/2 doors fit correctly. At least Jeep made a lot of room for adjustment. Good luck, amigo.

Without the top on, is the distance from one top corner of the windshield to the back of the bed the same distance as the other corner of the windshield to the back of the bed? A twisted windshield would make the back of the top do that. Just an easy check.

Here's the dimensions to check the windshield angle. (ridge at top of windshield to edge of rear bed)

This is from Kayline or Bestop installation manual for confirming windshield angle prior to top install.

You may need to loosen all the bolts on the upper b/head and the 1/2 top and just be prepared to open up a few holes to move the top a little. If the b/head is in the wrong position it will affect the top.

Same with the doors really - be prepared to adjust them. Looks like your lh door needs adjusting forwards judging by the lack of gap at the back?

Start with the 97.75 dim above and then adjust the rest to suit.

Here’s where I’m at, maybe 1/4” off? I‘ve been playing with the doors all morning, hopefully I can get this sorted today.

Double checked, they’re slightly different by about 1/8”in

That does not sound like enough to make the differences shown. Personally, I would loosen up the bulkhead and half top. Set the top on it and try to get them aligned as best as possible with the looseness allowing you to massage the locations slightly. With mine, each winter when I put it on, I need to loosen the windshield bolts and lay the top on with the front setting on the windshield, then pull the windshield toward the seats until the top slips over the lip of the windshield. Then I push down the top until it sits tight. It is a little process I need to go through. But once I set the bulkhead in a good position the first time, i have not had to mess with it.
