Help Identifying Pilot Bushing on AMC 401 with TF904 Transmission

I’m having an issue installing the 401 engine that’s paired with a TF904 transmission, and I need a bit of help. When I installed the 401 the tourqconverter will not spin freely. It looks like the crank has a pilot bushing. I’ve attached a photos for reference—could you let me know if what’s pictured is a pilot bushing?
Want to make sure before a start chisling it out.

I'm not a 401expert, but I don't see a pilot bushing in the back of the crankshaft where they would normally go, i.e. the deep small hole or the larger outer hole.

But, that rough/porous cast texture on the outer edge of the crankshaft where your pick is touching looks odd to me???
 
Any year Jeep that had a 401 with an automatic would have been a T400. They used a very thin pilot bushing like it appears you have. The TF904, 999 and 727 don’t use any pilot bushing, forcing the transmission and engine together can possibly damage either one. Remove that thin bushing and you should be good.

I was able to remove the pilot bushing fairly easy using mini grinding stone and a half round cape chisel.
I'll drop the 401 back in next weekend
