Have a longggg summer vacation planned so won't be anywhere near my Scrambler during the event. Had really hoped to make it, especially after the small ride with some great folks at Uwharrie, but events made it possible to take 8 weeks off and work and go camping to west coast and back. Probably the last chance to spend a long vacation with my kids so couldn't pass it up.

Reserved the hotel room tonight....so I'm somewhat commited. Hope to see everyone there....but, the less come, the better chance I have at winning all the PRIZES :D

I'm in..

I'll bring the camper, it's gonna be great!!!,
Hey Scott are you bringing your Harley?, I just got back from Daytona Bike Week, got mine Dynotuned by the Rolling Thunder Guy.., with the Power Commander gained 10 HP and lot's more torque... awesome acceleration now..
Gotta bolt on the bench seat on the Bear, as we may bring Lori's kids to Hot Springs..,
But before that, we're going to Tellico on 14 -17 April with the MPJAI guys.. je je.. Scramblin' weather is finally here...

Hey Ferran,

CHECK THEM BRAKES if you are bringing that big rig  ;)

Brakes

Funnyyyy.., yep.. it stops.., in a straight line.., that's what saved us..
Anyway, it should stop even better now, 'cause it still has the three axles (6 drums), but it's about 1000 lbs lighter, it's Bobbed now... cut off the loong overhang tail...

Heart in Texas

Heyy TexasAG77.., I take it you're an Aggie.. Whoop!!!!
I'm a Miner from Univ of Texas El Paso (UTEP)...
Regards

Ferran,

I am glad we were able to get Billy G. for our basketball program. Quite a turn around this year.

Regarding that bob job- When did JC come to see you?????? ;)

Bob tail

ha ha.. nope, I borrowed a Plasma cutter from a friend and went Postal on the trailer.., then took the 10' worth of scrap metal, and got $68 for it at the recycle plant.., could have made a trailer for my Harley, but those I beams were waaay too big and Heavy.., I'm happy with it now...
I'm cleaning out my scrap metal nowadays.., neighbors' been complaining that it looks like a Mexican junk yard.. 0;-)
I've got a 9' truck utility bed that's going to the dump too.., it's sitting on the trailer now..., a washer and fridge that still work.., I'm gonna call the Salvation Army to come pick those up...
And I still have that Dually Dana 70 rear sitting in my garage with brand new Detroit Locker/32 spline axles/6:17 Yukon gears waiting to be put together and slapped on the Scrambler one of these days - replacing the Suburban 14 Bolt with 4:10 gears and Track-Lock..., all the parts on the 14 bolt are less than 2 years old.., and at most it's seen about 500 miles.., as the Bear is a trailer Bum... and doesn't like street driving...

Hey fernando. If you still have some of that scrap steel. I would liek to come by and pick up some for partice.

I need to get back inot welding and woudl like some to work on.

Carl

Going to Hot Springs

We are going. We are staying at the Superlift Park. We will be in the pop-up camper just like in Virginia. We made our reservations the other day. I put in for vacation so we are going.
Fernando, Yes we are really thinking hard on bringing the bike. We will be up there probably on Tues or Wed and ride for a few days before the event.
So we will see all y'all up there. Do you guys want some more of that Ettoufee that Kelli cooked again. If so i will see if she wants to do like the last time and bring some again.

Sorry Carl, it's all gone, I piled it on the Diesel and sold it for scrap.., yard is clean now.. sort of..

Heyy Scott.., cool.., I may bring the Road King too, let me know what you're gonna do..., btw Brett Lovett (Superlift Owner) is a friend of mine, he has a Harley too, maybe we can head down to his place in West Monroe, LA (couple of hours away) and ride with him, we could get a factory tour too. Good idea on getting there a couple of days earlier, however, I don't know if the Superlift camp is open for boarders during weekdays. Did you arrange for early arrival on your reservation?
Maybe we can arrange to park there anyway, I have a 10KW generator on the trailer and can light up the countryside.

Early Arrival

They have early arrival. Although the park is not open i think she will open up for campers if they are staying to play on the weekend. I have went up there on a Thursday night and she let me in. We can do the Bret thing also. we will go to Hot Springs set-up camp and then ride the bikes back down to Superlift. Sounds good to me. I think we are bringing the bike becasue Kelli sounds like she is wanting to do that. They have power over there and is very nice. Good times ahead.

Trying to talk the wife into stopping by Saturday night. We'll be returning from Moab with Jeep in tow. What's an extra day of driving after a week with the wife and kids. Right; I probably won't be there.

Zero you going to hot springs? (with your jeep)
I wouldn't miss being there!! It would have to take a miracle for me to be there with our 8. Our kids are in School still and to come without them the 4,200 mile round trip..... finances just don't allow that at this time. I do have a tow rig and trailer just ready to go. Now if someone wants to donate a $1,000. dollars towards fuel costs :D :D ...??? OH PLEASE
That sure would bring a smile to my heart,
z
Any chance with the new job, you and your sweetheart can get a few days off to be there?

i wish anything that i could be there...its only 200 miles for me ..but i just cant swing it ..i fly back from chicago on friday..then my dauthter has district softball tourney..i coach....then monday i leave for charlottesville va to play army...i wish we could do a fall thing about september...i hate it that i never get to meet u guys...june wiill never be good for me

right now it dont look like i can swing it. I even thought about taking the bike so I could follow along and watch everybody else. I think some people would get annoied by the sound of my bike--loud 4-stroke. I just dont think the $$ will be there for me to use on fun just yet, thats still not taking into account that Ill be on-call 24-7 for quite awhile.
last thing--the run made the calender for Petersons 4 Wheel and Offroad!!!

We're itching to go (Lori and I).., I'm tweaking the Bear and the Diesel.., the Bear will be sporting all electric rad fans - Summitt Racing.., since the 3" lift tends to slide the body back on extreme climbs... and whack the engine fan (frame) into the radiator (Body)...
We'll be arriving wed nite.., ride out on the Hogs (Scott/Kelly and us) on Thurs to Monroe AL and vicinity..., then Scramble on Fri and Sat...
It's gonna be GREAT!!!!
Anyone else bringing their Harleys???

You have your priorities right Scott.... Family first !! Ya got it right bro!

I know it's tough when you aren't able to be with a bunch of the "gang" in June.. One of these days you'll get to meet more of us in person. Only a few on the board that I've been able to meet face to face. Nice that ya'll have a great event happening there the next month in July. You still going to be able to make that one? I hope it might work out with our family schedule.
