DUI Dist. Hookup
I am running the GM HEI and what I did to hook it up is run a 10 gauge wire from the two wire connector that goes to the ignition control box, over to the distributer. One of the wires, of the connector, is bigger and should be red with a white stripe. This wire is turned on/off by the ignition switch. The other is smaller and is white. I put a flat spade wire terminal on the end of the new wire and just pushed it into the two wire connector where the big red wire is. I wrapped electricians tape all around the wire and connector to keep moisture and dirt out. I then ran it up to the fire wall, around the back of the engine, then along the passenger side of the engine to the distributer. Then just connect it to the BAT+ terminal on the distributer. Since this wire carries a lot of current you shouldn't use anything smaller than 12 gauge. It should be as big as the big red wire going to the two wire connector.
