Anyone recommend a place where you can order a few 5/16 - 18 1/2" torque bolt?
None of the local hardware stores near me sell them.

Only in the most perfect attempt at a nut-and-bolt restoration would I ever replace a torx bolt with another torx bolt. Even then, I'd look at that bolt a very, very long time dreading the fact that I was replacing a torx bolt with another torx bolt :rotfl:

YES!
For your diff cover, Torx are probably fine, but I DAMN sure wouldn't spend on shipping to get them, just throw any hex head in there from your local store of choice.
