I love my Scrambler and I don't mind getting my glow on, but these days of 90 plus weather have caused strife in the household. My husband has demanded air conditioning be added or else he won't ride in it anymore. That being said, I need some opinions on after market air conditioning....since I'm keeping the husband ;) Has anyone installed the the Jeep Air Parts, Heat and AC system Kit from Morris 4x4 center? Or know of a better option?

Go to vintage air. It's all similar to the factory setup. Works good if you have a top.

While he riding with you just spend extra time at the stop signs and lights and when you finally do get underway say aint that better honey??? I have an extra underdash ac unit,

I bought the Jeep Air kit. Plan to finally install it over the holiday weekend. It is basically factory air. I was looking for factory type AC when I chose mine, but wonder if that was a mistake. The downside to the factory setup is that you don't get the AC hooked to the vents to cut the humidity with the defroster. With the summer humidity here in Bama, I'm afraid that may be an issue. Jeep Air has a kit with a heater and AC in one, but haven't researched it to see if it would have provided the dehumidified defroster or not. There is another kit I've heard about that does do that.

Sounds like you have a wife!!
I eventually plan in installing vintage air in my Scrambler.

I have Jeep Air in mine and love it. It all fit great, You can get a compressor for any engine, mine has a chevy 350, and it's the coldest A/C of all our vehicles.

I use the Vintage Air units. I like dehumidified defroster.

I also used the Vintage air unit and like Mr. Beep I like the dehumidified defroster.

What vintage air unit is that?
If I remember right it is the Mini compact. It works fine on the 1/2 cab but would not be enough on a full cab or soft top. I would go as big as physically possible. There is a lot of heat transfer through the metal panels. I'm building a 83 Scrambler now and I'm insulating the cab to the max and will be installing another Vintage air unit in it.
