Loose transmission help

I just set my transmission back onto my skid plate and bolted everything down, but it rocks back and forth and side to side. I don't remember it having this much travel when I took it out, but it WAS bolted to the engine. The torque arm does not seem to bolt down tight either. I have new bushings and both of the large washers, but it seems to be missing something. I even put the old mount back on to see if it helped and it didn't. In need of some advice. Thanks

Not sure about the trans. play but the torque arm will have about a 1/2" of play up and down. The small ends of the bushings should be on each side of the bracket. Or do you mean there's play at the stud where it mounts to the skid?
Might need pictures.

If I remember correctly, don't you put the trans. up (say with a jack) and then bolt the skid plate up to hold it.

There is play at the actual transmission mount, even with the two studs bolted down and there is play at the torque arm. I do have a 1/4" to 1/2" play at the torque arm, it just seemed too loose. Here are the pictures.

Can someone take a look at this and see if it's correct. Still seems to be way to loose.

What you're showing looks correct. It has to have some movement there or things will break; it allows the trans/tc to move with the engine a little.

Thank you. It just didn't seem correct and I didn't want to keep going if it wasn't sitting in there the right way.

From the last picture it looks like the washer would bottom on the shoulder of the bolt before it compressed the rubber bushing. That would allow some movement.

I would add a couple washers that are larger in inside diameter than the shoulder on the bolt so that when you tighten down the nut, you compress the rubber bushing some.
