M38 Project

This M38 was given to me by a friend before he passed several years ago to do “something” with. Well, with work finally proceeding, it’s been giving Dustin (JeeperDD on here) some work. Today it became a roller again. Using a lot of stuff I already had with a lot of additions. Aiming for 4.3 V-6, T150, Dana 20, ‘81 disk Dana 30 and Dana 44 rear with 11” drums. 3.73 gears and a posi in the rear. Stretched a bit at about 80” wheel base. Not intended to be a trail Jeep, but a fun run around. Sort of a rat rod exterior, as I got it.

Making some progress. It’ll all come apart to blast and paint the frame, but we got the engine, transmission and transfer case positioned and the motor mounts tacked in place.
