MDJuan Tubs

That said, I wanted to commend you on going on here and Jeepforum to get real world imput from Jeep lovers and try to make your tubs as good as they can be. It is refreshing to see a manufacturer who is interested in improving their product and wanting to do it RIGHT, instead of "good enough and a little better than the competition".

Thanks!

thanks! Appreciate the compliment!

Guess Who I ran into at the midwest Willys reunion in ohio?

Rommel Juan. And he was talking to a fellow cj8 owner (non cj-8.com member) about jeep bodies(pictured).
Don't worry I passed on the good word to the lost cj8 owner about this website and the people here.
Rommel was very nice to talk to and is really trying to change his product for the consumer. They had a booth setup at the event and they did have a cj2a complete body sitting on a frame for sale. The tub looked
very beefy and was ready to install into anyones project.

I really wish he would have had a cj7 and or a cj8 tub with all the new changes and modifications there. but it was the "willys reunion" and not the amc jeep reunion. lol. Again Rommel it was very nice to meet you in person and I can't wait to see your jeep cj7 & cj8 tubs. Maybe at the batnam jeep show in PA?

Rommel, I got the package. I am sending you the pictures and comments via email. Guys the thickness of the metal used in the parts are perfect, no issues, they are the right thickness.

I can't believe I missed this post. Thanks for the kind words 7jeeps7kings :)

I'm interested in knowing how the "new" tubs are as well. I'm also interested in knowing if they are stamped "Jeep" on the side. Thanks!

one month to go and mine should be here:headbang:

Not expecting Jeep to be stamped in side as its not a licensed product but as soon as it lands its getting sat down on my chassis and then the wings, doors, windscreen and halftop bolted to it for a test fit and will then report in.......

I have read and was told to buy from Willys-Overland (http://www.willysoverland.com/repli-tubs/). Their site is pretty week but I've heard good things. They supposedly can stamp the sides for you as well. I thought I had read that their tubs come from MDJuan and are then retrofitted to fit better but it seems from the post the Rommel has or is taking care of those issues so much retrofitting shouldn't be necessary. I'm just trying to confirm that and to see if there's a price difference between DL Bensinger and Willys-Overland. A few posts back Rommel also said they could create the side panel with the stamp but it looks from the picture like it would be just that panel. Are you sure yours isn't going to have the stamps Dave?

I Dont honestly know i was assuming that i will have to cut the stampings out of my old tub and re-weld them in and then get to work with the filler and sander:shrug:
Unfortunately ive also got to do the same to the bulkhead to make it RHD as well..........
