Name this dash light!

This dash is soon to have a few holes patched up and painted. However this particular dash light spot is a head scratcher. I’ve gone down the Google rabbit hole and am still empty.

Any ideas on what it’s for?

Maybe you should try to trade that dash with an original cutout for one without it.

California smog "Check Carb" had one on my '81 Scrambler until I went to Mopar MPFI. Converted the Check Carb to a Check Engine light. Needed in California to pass smog.

I have a Check Engine on my Speedhut speedometer so I don't need that. I haven't looked into it but there has to be a way to make custom lettering on a dash light. I'll keep the hole there and likely put an old dash light there until I can figure out what it should display.

This is the "CHECK CARB" light for the California only CJ's This is part of the California smog check requirement.
