Need help with wiring harness pictures

Hi Gang,

I need some help with some pictures of wiring harness routing and layout... like LOTS of pictures. I'm trying to restore the factory wiring harness from the hack job that the previous owner did on it and I need some pictures of how the wiring harness looks from the point that it comes into the engine compartment through the firewall to the alternator connections and electronic distributor connections... basically, I need pictures of pretty much everything.
I'd prefer shots of a system with the factory 6 cylinder and all of the emission control system intact (pulsed air system with carburetor solenoid) since ultimately I've decided to put this back to factory original since I have all the parts to do so (the previous owner took out the computer and wiring harness and put them in a box and my job is to put everything back together.

I have the factory service manual with the wiring diagrams but it doesn't show routing information. I don't even know where the computer harness routes through the firewall.

Any assistance would be VERY much appreciated. Posting the pictures here would be cumbersome so if you'd like, you can email them to:

joew@diveaz.com

Anyway... here's a shot of what I'm starting with (to give you some idea of how much work I have in front of me):

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind Regards,

I recently took out most of my emission wiring so I wouldn't have the best pictures. However, the splices that look like duct tape are actually factory. Don't know if it's special heat resistant tape but it's not 20 + year resistant. Also, I tried shortening a wire before putting it back in the look, and it ended up being a special resistance wire that had to be a certain length (for the alternator). Good luck.

I will send what I have, it might be tomorrow before I email them. I should have a couple dozen pictures of what mine looks like. I took them so I can get it all back together after this semi-restore I am doing. It seems pretty much stock, a bit of odd tape here and there that may or may not have been OEM. The stock harness looked pretty untidy to me, and I was hoping to clean-up the look while keeping the routing the same.

Hope they help,

That would be awesome. Thank you so much.

Thanks Truck.

Still haven't seen any attachments yet, but I'll post up here when some make it through.

Hey, Joe. I am emailing about 40 pics in the next few minutes. Let me know if they make it. I am breaking it up into two emails.

Sincerely,

Oh, Joe. I compressed them (originals were over 1meg each) so let me know if you need any specific ones at a larger size to see detail.

Sincerely,

Hi Mark,

Your pictures came at the same time as Truck's.
Thank you so much!!!

Now it is time for me to get to work :)

I'll post up my results as soon as I finish the wiring.

Thanks again guys.
