Be very careful with the shifter bezel, they are one of the unobtainable parts of these world cab RHD jeeps.

fortunately I was able to find a replacement shifter bezel for mine on an AMC forum. I posted that I needed one and had 4 guys that had extras within 3 days. Just FYI if you ever need one. These same bezels were used in the cars. Not hard to find knowing they were used in the cars

Not sure whether there were more Bricklins made or more postals.... and of those Bricklins, how many were actually automatic?
Would be funny if the Bricklin site right now has a guy saying "you can get that shifter bezel from the old Jeep CJ postals."

So you got me off on a tangent again...

From a Bricklin buff/historian:

Total number of considered production Bricklin SV-1's built: 2906
Total number of production 4 Speed Bricklin SV-1's built: 156

Now the number of Bricklin Police Cruisers vs. CJ Postals is no contest.
#2 of 3

I almost bought a Bricklin used from a private seller way back in the 70's.
Now back to our Jeeps.

You're a legend Don. Diagrams and schematics on tap, bottomless Jeep knowledge and now a Bricklin buff. 😀
I had no idea there were so few manual Bricklins. There's one here in Vero: 4 speed. But that's really the only one I've actually gotten to crawl around.

So, the Bricklin might be a good source for Postal restoration parts?
