This is at the 4x4. shop where I brought my Scrambler to have the body mount out riggers repaired. It is called searchers 4x4. Phillip, the owner, is some type of engineer and custom builds alot of roll cages, bumpers, brushguards and things of that nature. He built the roof rack thing on this vehicle.

It is a Land Rover truck that looks to be right out of a Outback commercial. It is pretty much all rebuilt with a/c, more current interior and gauges from a later model Land Rover and lots more.

I don't know the year or make but, this think looks awesome in person. I was told it is a series 3 whatever that means

Love those old Land Rovers. I've always wanted a 3-series wagon. Love the spare mounted on the hood, it looks so bada$$!

Very cool. There's one of these (shorter body style) that is sitting beside a rental house in our town immobile. Been curious what the story was on it.

Looks to me like it's got the studs/bolts on the hood to mount the spare.

You are correct. There is an indentation on the hood but, no tire as you can see. Studs are there. I think they should add the tire to complete the look. Maybe the tire is in the shop.

I will say that I don't think that Rovers of that vintage should have anything other than bare bones stock solid steelies.

Also was wondering, with a bed as big as that thing has, why the need for the roofrack? Seems like overkill to me but to each their own.
