Oh, Fuel injection, I hate you so much right now...

You'll probably find the hose between the pump and connection to the top of the tank rotten or split. I'm still trying to figure out how you had 30 psi at the motor but 0 between the pump and filter.

The only thing I can think of is that it was pressurizing through the return line.

The CJ fuel pump is engine mounted and the s10 fuel pump is in the fuel tank. I'm thinking I'm going to find that I have an s10 fuel pump in my after market tank.

Yea, there should be no restriction in the return line......

BTW, your fuel system order is the following right?

Screen(bottom of pump in the tank)-fuel pump-high pressure fuel filter-CPI-return to tank

I can confirm that it's high pressure fuel filter-CPI-return to tank. The screen and the fuel pump I'll check this morning

So I dropped the tank this morning and this is the Beast! Made by Aero Enterprises according to the shipping sticker I found on the top.

I got the fuel pump out and this is what it looks like:

It's not quite the same as the s10 fuel pump, but it's close. Heading to the parts store to return the regulator and pick up a new pump, screen, filter and a new vent hose.

So it actually IS an s10 fuel pump. The sending unit is just a little different. Picked up the pump, filter, and a new screen. Bday party for the grandkid right now, so i'll get it installed this afternoon

It's all back together. Primed the pump twice (which I can hear running now) and it fired right up. Reading at the engine is 55psi as it should be. I think this one is figured out. I'm going to take it for a test drive to return the fuel pressure test kit and I'll let you know how it goes.

So it's running good. No issues on the test drive. It did NOT however, fix the issue of stalling while deceleration. So back to the drawing board on that one.
As far as the drive goes, it was smooth accelerations and no hesitation or sputtering. Thank you, once again to Mysunnshine for troubleshooting with me. I can sling some parts with the best of them, but the troubleshooting part, I am a little weak. I learned a bunch about my rig and how the fuel system works on a fuel injected engine and I know where my fuel pump is now!

Thanks again to everyone.

Any ideas on the stalling under deceleration I would appreciate whatever help you guys can give.

Now it's time for a scanner and monitor iac counts, fuel trims, and cam position degrees.

I'm sorry, I don't speak Chinese.:D

Seriously though, I am heading on vacation for the next two weeks. I'll be jumping back on this when I get back and we'll keep chasing it down.

I think it's the fuel injection spider. But it's just a hunch. When a fuel pump goes it usually goes out completly
