One of my proudest days...!

Funny story... Today we decided to go ride a train. Father in law is in town so we drove out to the Royal gorge rail and took a ride. As we are standing around waiting to board we end up in a small gaggle of people. Some guy looks at the FIL's Vietnam vet hat and say "Semper Fi". FIL is an old gunny sergeant. Guy talking has a Seabee cap on so they exchange pleasantries. Seabee guys wide chimes in and offers she spent a lil while in the Airforce. I'm quietly listening to their exchange of friendly banter and the AF wife sees me kinda holding in a grin. Guess she was touchy on the subject or something because she starts going on about how younger people (stares straight at me with a frown) never understand service. I literally started to laugh at that point and had to walk away. I hear my FIL shut her down by explaining how I just hit my 20.... More years by a stretch than all those gathered in the circle. Haha. I caught her eyeballing me a couple times after that and after the ride her husband came to say he was sorry. I just chuckled and said no worries.😎
