Question - is it necessary to do both, or is it OK to just do the tie rod (ie pitman arm-knuckle).Stick with a stock pitman arm and do a tie rod/drag link flip at the knuckles. Drop arms kill your turn radius.
You need to do the drag link too or it will have a bad angle, causing bumpsteer.Question - is it necessary to do both, or is it OK to just do the tie rod (ie pitman arm-knuckle).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the drag link goes knuckle to knuckle, and should be perfectly horizontal in all cases. The tie rod goes pitman to knuckle and is at an angle with an OEM pitman, or possibly the wrong drop pitman. Reversing the tie rod end at the knuckle would get your tie rod parallel with a drag link regardless, no?You need to do the drag link too or it will have a bad angle, causing bumpsteer.
Yes, you can do that, but if you’re flipping the drag link, you might as well do the tie rod. It’ll get them both up higher and out of the way of rocks and obstacles that might damage them.Great, so let me rephrase - is it OK to do the drag link and leave the tie rod as-is?
