Other than screwing around a bit today, I did get a lot done. Now that the links are pretty much done, I figured I needed to get the transfer case mount figured out and fixtured. The divorced cases are really prone to a lot of flex when having deep gears and a low range kit so I have the mounting mostly done. A couple more mounts to do and some finish work and back in it goes. [emoji2]

That thing is going to be unreal. The flex is better than most full size vehicles lol. I have the same body kit and a Honda hydrostatic liquid cooled riding mower I been trying to get time to work on. But yours is a whole new level of awesomeness.
 
Mine would flex as good if I was triangulated with full hydro steering but I wanted mechanical steering and no lines to get ripped off. It still does good however. ;)

Since I wasn't initially planning on using heim joints for the tie rod, I didn't purchase enough to complete my suspension. Fortunately my order came in and I have a working suspension now with all of the links connected. I still have to notch the lower part of the frame for the panhard bar to get a bit more flex. Right now, the front tire is 38" off of the ground and once I change the tires and clearance the frame and body, I'll be in the 40's pretty easily. It also appears that the driveline angles should be tolerable too. I still need to get some material to build adapters for the CV's. I did ordered a set of 28" Mongrel UTV tires to put on this thing and they should be here this week. The current tires have NO air in them at all and still do not flex the sidewall at all. I am on the hunt for a set of 15" aluminum beadlocks though so if anybody knows of a used 15X8 set, please let me know. The 17" wheels are WAY more common these days.

While I was trolling the wrecking yard yesterday for a Mazda electric power steering pump, I found a Toyota MR2 which also has electric power steering. Needless to say, I now own the EPS parts and controller. I'm not going to mount the pump or controller anytime soon but I at least know size-wise what I have to allocate for somewhere on this thing. I may also still find a pump from a Mazda just so I know how I can get it to work because I may have a project at work that one of these would work well on.

So as much as I hate to do it, I have to go back to the bodywork. :banghead: I need to get that all sorted out before I can start planning the shock mounts and the cage. Did I mention that I hate bodywork? Grrrrrrrr. Oh well......Someone has to do it I guess..... In the meantime I'll get my kids little snowmobile working so we can take it out in the next two weeks with the epic snow that we are supposed to be getting...... YAY!
 
Mini-jeep project is looking awesome.

The early part of the epic snow has started, should be a great snow week up here (all snow no rain so far).
 
Well, my new tire showed up today. I'm looking forward to trying these mongrel tires on this little Jeep. I think that they will work really good out here in the rocks. I still have to find some 15 inch beadlock wheels. Now that everything is running 17 inch wheels now, the 15 inch wheels are harder to find.

I'm just hanging out with my 3 week old mini-man Wyatt in my comfy chair rocking him while he sleeps and checking out my subscribed threads... I really hope I can build up the skills to build up a mini-Scrambler for him some day!!!
