Revolution Electronics - Intermittent Wiper module?

I have one of the CJ modules that I've had on a peg for probably 20 years at this point. Never got into putting it in because I need to splice extra wire into the connector side being right-hand drive. This would be much simpler to deal with...

They confirmed part 13019 will work with our switch and 3-wire motor. I will order it and report back. $72.99 plus shipping. Not cheap but since I will be driving the Scrambler a lot for overlanding and rocklanding trips, it will be worth it.

I’m interested in this switch. It looks like a news switch to replace the one in the dash and has all the electronics right in the switch.

You mean you don’t want to drive and constantly reach down and turn them on and off. Then on and off. Then on and off ……. 10 years of DD duty doing that. Ugh

That is a nice option if it works. Let us know if you do it.

Yeah. Exactly.

BTW, my YJ wipers worked great clearing the snow that we got and then the sleet and then the rain. Very happy I got that worked out.

Awesome. Since the Snowmageddon, I have not had a really good snow test on my YJ wipers, but I suspect that they will work just fine. I have tested them in heavy rain and am very pleased. Anything is better than crappy crown linkage though.

Can't you use an intermittent switch from an '80s Ford?
I don't think so. My brother and me grabbed a crap load of them from a u pull it on a all you can pull day. Hooked one up to a CJ and it did not work properly.

The look similar but I think there was a difference in the wiring. I think one of them had an extra contact in the connector plug

My Painless wiring system came with a spare wiper switch harness which was labled 'Ford delay wiper switch' or something similar to that. It plugs into the stock wiper plug.

I bought my delay switch box new from Bronco Graveyard. The key is the CJ switch needs a 7 pin wiper connection. The revolution electronics is a better option if you are wanting to switch over to intermittent.

Just a quick update on this. I installed the module about 9 months ago. It's still working great and nice to have with as much as I am driving my Scrambler. We've had heavy rain so far this winter with the two atmospheric rivers and a "bomb cyclone" thrown in for good measure.

It also got a workout on my drive to Silverton, CO and Ketchum ID then back to Redding, CA.

The YJ wiper arm/blade conversion is also working great.

I found a regular AMC/Jeep intermittent switch right after I bought the old '8. Turn it counterclockwise for variable speed and clockwise for low and high speed. Honestly forgot where I found it, but some used Jeep parts guy should have one...
