Rock Hard cage fitment issues

Howdy folks

Picked up a rock hard cage for Xmas and running through fitment issues. This is the kind that bolts to the factory roll bar.

There are 4 clamps that bolt onto the roll bar. The ones in the corners or bends don't seem to fit well. Aside from Rock Hards suggestion of hammering them on has anyone else run into this before? I can't get them close enough to even start the threads. Looking for some suggestions.

Thanks!

Can you get a c-clamp on it to force it together? Or maybe one on each side of the tube.

Do they go on the bend? When I looked into them awhile back I thought they mounted on top in the straight section.
That's what I thought when I ordered. But nope. They go on the bend. That picture is missing leading.

A picture rock hard sent me verifying position. IMG_20250110_154333.jpg
And their reply to my concerns.

I've ordered some longer bolts. That with some c clamps I might get them to squeeze on? Not exactly what I had in mind. Live and learn.

Hi, I wish I had a chance to Read this before that the last scramble so I could have inspected yours. I still have mine that I bought on a group buy here at cj8, long ago lol I just ordered stanchions for the cage install. I hope to get this done before hard top season so I can ensure fitment. It's gonna be interesting Just to see yours versus mine how they change or not.
Ps, do you think a hardtop would fit with that crossbar. I like how it adds to the cage
