Scrambler tops....

Didn't even know there was such a thing. Wonder how much modification it would take to make it like a standard Scrambler half soft top? Did they also make one for a TJ?
Here the bed-cover is lying next to the half-soft-top. Notice how it zips together at bed top height and also has a piece attached to the top that apparently straps to the bed of the LJ.

Quite a bit. Although the rear gate design was the predecessor to the 1976 CJ-7 top

So not something that could be shortened a couple inches and drop right on?

Not really, the main issue that would stop the dropping right on thing is the totally different windshield arrangement, and width etc.

That's a great commando pic!!

My friend Cameron in my town built that a few years ago and sold it a few weeks ago...and it showed up last weekend at a show in South Jersey I was at where I took that pic... It has a Vortec 6.0 under the hood :bacon:

Yes, he did, and back before the new owner put classic plates on it (requiring no inspection) you have to have tire coverage. The new owner also added the winch and the hoop thing to it, and those side pipes. He did all that stuff in like a week.

As much as I would like to have a complete/full soft top, I am tempted to sew up the roll bar openings, clean it up, get the belt-rails installed, and button this sucker down.

Has a cool military look.

Do you plan to run upper half doors and if so how do you plan to seal around them?
