I have seen several Golden Eagle editions.....But only ONE Golden Hawk over the years....i suspect the Hawks did not sell well.

I have never seen a Jamboree edition. :(

The pictured 'super jeep' on the 1st page, I thought, was actually a single year offering for the bi-cenntenial, not 100% sure of the name, but it was very similar to the super jeep package, which was really a Peter Maxx-esqe renegade package, in the early to mid 1970s with alot of the same package items as the Renegade e.g. v8, no tailgate (although that changed IIRC), and where the Renegades were initially only yellow green, orange and purple most of the super jeeps were more pastel, the bi-cenntenial variant (pictured earlier in the thread I thought) though was only white with red and blue stripes ad the star on the fuel filler panel on the CJ5. At least that's what I remember. Though in relooking at the picture that 5 is either a 73 or early 74 which makes the bi-cenntenial link unlikely in the pictured unit. If we are talking SJs, the Super Chief was a wagoneer package in the mid 60s that was fairly analogous to the Cherokee Chief which came much later, there was the 10-4, the honcho, the golden eagle and another which escapes me right now for the J 10s in addition to the pioneer trim level

Also, dont forget that there were a slew of dealership or regional specific packages as well, Stuff like the Randall Bros in Mesa AZ selling CJ5s and 6s with 401s and super t10 4 spds, the Zeitgeist modified Jeeps that you could buy through your dealership with a diesel, the Chuchua delaership's Gaucho, IIRC one or more of the Denver dealerships sold a couple of different package jeeps aimed at skiers, early jeepers, ranchers and some working units specific for use with plows and such. There was the CJ5 with a 5th wheel camper.... goes on and on

Wow. I would love to see pics of all of them (do I sound like BigWalton?), particularly the Lone Star Edition and the Gunslinger!

The current lineup consists of a base CJ5 and an Golden Eagle CJ7. For me, I enjoy the hunt for the next Jeep- few have stayed for the long haul. Several have been taken apart- if only for parts (Gunslinger was taken apart- package was made in honor of the San Antonio Gunslinger USFL team by Red McCombs Jeep- it had the team logo and some attempted Renegade stripes that looked horrible). I will dig out photos of what I can- anything I owned pre-2006 is gone due to a hard drive crash. I have attached a photo of some of my favorites from over the years (not all are special packages- 3rd photo is the Limited Edition I redid):

I've said this before....but ....Believe it or not a nice origional J Truck is way harder to find than a CJ.

Kyle's black Honcho looks fantastic only had a 6 cyl. Probably reason for low miles.

I bought the Honcho from the original owner. It was a 6 cylinder with the T-177 4 speed. The miles were very low. Fun to drive- no power. I wish I kept it- and put a 401 in it. There are few I wish I had back- that is one of them. I had a very frustrating experience with the seller (took me 9 months and a trip to OK to get the title)- I let that influence my decision to sell the Jeep. I also gave it away really cheap- even worse!:banghead:
