Speedhut gauge install, wiring update/fix, switchplate

Very nice!!!!

Little worried bout your 9 volts!

Yeah, not sure what's up with the voltmeter, I checked with my digital meter on the gauge side of the connector and all the way back to where I connected it at the PDC and it's 11.98V. These gauges sweep through the full range when they're powered on and that works fine, so I have a bad feeling something's not right, there's no adjustment or range setting on that one.

Its going to be VERY weird being able to actually read our gauges while driving.
Looks good buddy!

You guys are making me very jealous. Some day. Some day.

Dain

It's perfectly normal that I went out into the garage just now for no other reason than to turn the key to "run" and turn on the lights to watch the gauges fire up and light up, right?

Yes, quite normal and I'd love to see a video of it :headbang:

Ok. After a weekend of family travel from which I came home sick and couldn't bring myself to get out into the freezing garage, these came just in time for my birthday :woot:

In the interim I managed to get the hole saw I needed and now I am back at it. Wanted to try my hand at the hole saw on the two power ports. True to form, despite all my measuring, it looks like the holes drifted a bit. Oh well more character. Still have to wire them, but that's much less nerve wracking.

You can see I was dealing with the stock grab bar hole and one of the dash pad screw holes. Positioned the thing so the cover plate would cover both.
