steering and fuse block firewall seals?

Hey, all. When I tore my Jeep down there were two thin rubber gaskets/seals that were in bad shape at the firewall. One was behind the inside half of the fuse block and the other was behind the 2-piece plate that supports the steering column at the firewall. Were these true gaskets or was it just a very consistant layer of RTVa type sealant from the factory? Each one pealed out like a gasket but was deteriorated and broke into small pieces. If they are true gaskets, were can one get them?

Sincerely,

I'm not sure about the fuse block, but there is a rubber gasket at the base of the steering column, behind the 2 part base plate. I believe it's available from jeepdoc.com .

The filrewall at the steering column is kind of a closed cell foam seal... kinda like the same stuff the weatherstripping at Home Depot is made out of. I think new ones are available from Crown or Omix.

The fuse block seal... I've only got a little piece of it left... looks to be two peices. The piece on the inside of the firewall behind the fuseblock looks to be cork, and the peice that goes on the bolt-in plug from the outside is the same kind of foam rubber stuff as the firewall seal at the steering column.

Great, thanks. When I source them both I'll post the source. It'll be a while before I am back at that point of the re-assembly, though.
