anyone running it? whats the best way to do it?

Yep, I've got it and would do it again. I wasted a lot of dollars on carbs that were supposed to be good. I should have done the TBI first.CBRogers said:I would go Howell.
JohnN has one and really seems to like it. They are a great company and it seems a pretty painless way to get injection.

hey no problem, i did ask. i am not married to any one philosophy yet. i could still keep it carbed. the brain is working trying to gather info right now.Wyoming said:It's up to you you asked for opinions.
Now you're getting into "closed loop" vs. "open loop" systems. The Howell is a closed loop system, it programs itself from the feedback it receives from it's sensors. I prefer this because it makes it's own changes as you go. It may not be rocket science (sorry Carl), but I don't want to deal with my own programing. Of course, a lot of this depends on them burning a chip that's fairly on target to start with.mysunnshine said:And that's why you're always better off putting on a programmable EFI system instead of a chip style ECU. If you have a stock motor, it's not as particular as if you have a cam/headers/heads/etc. The Holley Commander 950 is a pretty good inexpensive system for the money too. It at least can be changed by you instead of sending the chip out to be burned.
