Texas Meet -N- Greet?

Last time I was down at Fort Hood was a few months before they closed it. At the time we were told it was because of an environmental impact study. It never opened back up afterwards.
 
I would like to do something and have heard great things about Trees ranch. Anyone here a member of TX4WD association? I probably won't have anything trail worthy till next spring. I am in the market for a another Jeep. I would like to get ahold of a fair to beater scrambler. Don't even need an engine. If you local guys see anything let me know.

Would anyone be up to dinner in the Houston area one weekend? Sometime in November or December maybe?

I'd be up for a Texas Meet-n-Greet, so long as it fits into my work schedule... Sadly - my work schedule always wins, so once a date is set, I can give you a Yes or No...

Will do. I'm going to start researching some different places and see what's available. I think this would be very cool.
 
I think the wife and a few friends are going to Canton for the flea market in Nov sometime. Then we are going to the resturant Midevil Times or something to that effect. I will be in the tow vehicle but we might be able to meet up. Gotta find out when the canton thing is though.

I am booked all the weekends in Nov and...Canton is on the other side of Dallas which is only 270mi from me :(

I just hope we can get something lined out for a spring off road get together. I met Ryan at the A&M game this weekend and I think there could be a good gathering of '8s, somewhere in Texas.
 
I also, would like a TX run. Have been to BMRA at Gilmer. Would like to go to Katemsy also. neither would be too far.
 
Ok, so let's try to decide on a month that would be good for most, since we've already decided on a year. ;)

Let's try to finalize a location also.

Me, personally, would like someplace that has camping with facilities, ie. bathroom, water and showers. It must also have some hotel/motels for those who don't camp. Can anyone think of anything else that would be good to have, other than rocks to climb on?

You guys from down south will have to fill me in on the areas that are available in that area.

Here a start to the list of possible places (in no particular order):

BMRA - Gilmore, TX
Katemcy - Mason, TX
Trees Ranch - ?

Now which year again? :D Just kidding....... I'd love to join you if it ever fits into both our schedules.(am I dreaming or what) I'm in Dallas and or Houston a couple of times a year. The only dates that look like for me in "pen" right now are a ways away in April 05.

More rocks...

I'd say March is good for me since I'd have my tax return by then but our third child is due March 10th... I suppose some time after that would probably be good though.
