Hello and good afternoon.

I am trying to resolve an issue with a refurbished Carburetor and I think my issue may be with my choke?

I have attached three photographs, I’m not 100% sure what each piece does, or what they are called - but I think they may have something to do with the choke?

Could somebody please tell me what these parts are called and if you don’t mind, if you know what they do give me an idea what they do. I cannot locate them in my Chilton.

Top left is starter solenoid. #2 is an old diagnostic port. #3 looks like relay of some sort.

None of those should have anything to do with your choke. Electric chokes get power all the time with the key on. There's a spring in the choke assembly that holds the butterfly closed, and as that choke heats up from voltage applied, the spring relaxes and no longer holds the plate closed.

That's my "I kinda know how it works but am probably using all of the wrong terms to describe it" description.

You adjust the choke by loosening the screws on the choke housing and turning the plastic cap to add or reduce tension on the spring. Turning it right/ clockwise keeps the choke on longer. Turning it counter-clockwise lessens the time the choke will stay on.

I just got in from working on the Jeep.
I uncovered and untied the electrical harness and confirmed what you said - thank you.

There is a red wire connected to the choke that is T’d into another red wire in the harness.
That red wire goes to the items in the photos but the actual choke wire does not.

My Jeep engine kangaroos - and hesitates when I leave a stop sign or traffic light. The engine is good and hot and I’m wondering if it’s the choke, which lead me to follow that red choke wire that goes to the harness.
