Is the ground one of the small posts at the top, because no extra ground wires are attached to the metal housing anywhere. But it always did work and worked again this morning so I am assuming it is grounded somewhere.

If yours is an auto its the seperate post on the back that gets a ground from the auto transmission in park and neutral.
If yours is a manual then the ground is usually the case of the solenoid.
 
New battery today as the optima red that was in it when we bought in 2006 finally wouldn't take a charge after sitting this winter. Also buttoned up the new 3 core OEM style radiator and OEM CJ V8 fan shroud. Got the trans cooler mounted to the radiator with my wife's help. Took it on a twenty minute cruise and back. Popped the hood and no radiator boiling. Hopefully cured that issue.

New issue of I cant keep an idle at a stop or in gear. Had to pull up to a stop and put it neutral and baby it back to an idle. It will idle in park or neutral, just not under load. Hoping it is old gas. It had a quarter tank and sat for a while. Filled it up the 89 oct, might just have to run some new gas through and get the old worked out.

Picked up my new to me Gheenoe. Yes, Gheenoe. Has anyone ever heard of one? It's like a cross between a canoe and a Jon boat. A nice gentleman gave it to me and my 13 year old son.

When I got the jeep it was on steelie 15 beadlocks and unbalanced old school Mtrs
I went with the mickeys cause they are classic and did new style Mtrs
 
No work on the Scrambler but I did change out the stock steel base wheels on my XJ with some OEM Grizzly wheels. Much improved IMHO.

They look almost home brew the way they are worked around the shock hoop
Quality work whoever made them
Almost positive they are 3 inch

Mounted to top. Thought about the roll bar, but would have had to have custom brackets made. I never take off the hard top anyway...wife has this thing against the sun.
 
Plugs, Wires and TPS yesterday. Need to change the oil and Fuel filter next. Running a little rough... Think I got some old gas at the 100% gas store last time. :banghead:
 
Cleaned 15 lbs of dirt and sludge out of my skid plate. Soaking my bell housing in purple power to clean the sludge out.
