My jeep is almost ready

First off, I haven't been on here in awhile. I hope everyone one is doing good with a lot of mud on the tires.
Anyway I was going to sell the ol' girl sometime back but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. My mom loved my Jeep she even used it a few times when she visited us. Well sad to say she passed away a little while back.
The good news us she left me some money and since she liked so much I am have the engine and transmission redone.
Needless to say I am getting very excited about this. It should be done in a few weeks just in time for when I get home. New tires and new wheels are also on the board for her.
My mothers name was Thelma Doris. My Jeeps name is now Doris.

Thank you mom I love you and miss you.
 
First and foremost I am sorry for your loss. I know when my Mom passed it was a very tough time for me. Even in her passing she has found one last way to look out for you. It's nice to hear you can tie your Scrambler in emotionally. Not to butt in on your business but a small airbrushed name or sentence on the glovebox would be nice IMHO.

Thank you for your kind words as well. I should have said this yesterday when I made my post. But I was so excited about the idea! Please forgive me for my indiscretion!
 
The block is at the machine shop and should be done this Tuesday. Transmission (auto) is at least be shop as well. I feel like a youngster just before Christmas time!!!
 
Update-
The engine is back together and the transmission is on the shop!
It won't be long now...
 
I'm sorry to hear about you Mother, my condolences. I'm excited to hear about your Jeep being restored. Is it the red one in your avatar? Welcome back!

Yes, that's the one. I'm really looking forward to driving her again.

It is a great idea! I was thinking air brushed in red ghost flames.
 
Just got a call about my transmission...it is ready to be picked up!!!
My Jeep should be running by Friday of next week!!!
