Oh
Hey guys. I was wondering if there is a company out there that specialized in building trailers for jeep. With a family of 5 I need to either trailer the jeep or get a trailer for the jeep to carry all of our camping/off-road gear. Any suggestions?

Google dinoot. A forum member Jeff Scherb designed it. Not sure if a complete trailer can be bought or if it is only DIY.

I'm a big fan of my M416 military trailer. Might look those up and see if they'd fit the bill. If so, watch G503.com and you might be able to find one close to you.

Check out www.dinoot.com. Kits for Jeep-tub style and military replica trailers. You could get just the basic fiberglass tub from them and assemble it on your own frame (or a Harbor Freight frame), or get a more complete kit with welded frame, or get them to build you one custom to your specs.

Yeah, I was looking at their site and those trailers are very nice. I'll have to give them a call and do a bit of research to figure out what options I should get. I wish the sides were a bit taller but other than that, very sweet.

Ah crap, I'd forgotten about those! Those things are sweet.

What you working on now jscherb? Your projects are always awesome.

You can actually stack the Jeep tub style kits, here's a photo of a pair of tubs someone bought to build a cargo trailer with higher sides. In this photo he's just done a mockup, I haven't seen any photos of the finished trailer.

I don't want to hijack this thread, so the only project I'll post a photo of is the "covered wagon" top I'm working on for my military trailer (I'll post it because Streetsnake wants higher sides on his trailer :)), shown here in the family room where it's convenient to my sewing machine. It's still a work in progress, sewing the roll-up side panels is next.

I'm also working on a JK version of the Safari Cab hardtop, and a bunch of JK accessories like side-mount jerry can/Rotopax carriers, a large spare carrier, and a bunch of other JK cargo accessories.

I'm looking to move shortly. I will let my Scrambler trailer go as I don't have time to mess with it. $1250 and take it home. Located Near East Liverpool OH.
