I think I am the reason they no longer do the "all you can eat" at the Waffle House. Lots of beer on the lake, then a stop at the Waffle House on the way home lead to a "How can you possibly eat that much?" from the manager.
They probably stopped that option as to many people drop to the floor from hart attacks and multiple clogged arteries.. But it goooooooood...

It died again?!?!?!!?

Yep. Still the distributor. But I am just going to get an assembled unit and replace the whole thing. I have already thrown $100 down the toilet. Why not more? I am going to troubleshoot every part and think it may be the pick up coil. But we will see. Might as well get an assembled unit.

I was getting terribly weak voltage to the HEI in the RHD Jeep.
I couldn't figure it out, but would just crank and crank and wouldn't have enough juice to fire it.

Turned out to be the power wire to the unit itself was spliced like 15 times and the splices themselves were not in good shape.
Ripped out the wire all the way back, had 1 splice and BAM... more power than I could use to fire it off.

So, I have had power issues as well as ground issues with another setup... frustrating, but it does finally get figured out.

The power line was the first thing I checked as I had already had an issue with that last summer. But nope. The wire is good and is sending 12.2 v to the coil. After taking it all apart and reassembling it multiple times this past weekend and all if a sudden it works. With the original coil I will add, made me skeptical. And it bit me in the rear yesterday. I hate not trusting the Jeep to get me places.
