Planning on heading out to Moab this year for Easter Jeep Safari. I will be renting a 4 door JK with 2.5" lift and 33's. I also will have my wife and 1 year old daughter with me. Looking for any advise on what trails to run and any lodging recommendations.

Thanks in advance, Andrew

ANY lodging you can get at this point should be taken immediately. With this being the 50th anniversary, lodging will be at a premium. We made our condo reservations a year in advance for EJS 2016. We have a large group of Scramblers heading out in March.

Wish I was going but in my annual vacation request at work I was denied that time frame. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Had a group going out of Alberta, but with our Canadian peso tanking like it has, most have backed out. Only 3 of us going at this point, and our accommodations are up in the air. Still planning for it.

I plan to be there. Albeit, maybe Scramblerless.

Who are you renting from, og48?

Adams Family have plans to be there for EJS.

Might check out VRBO for lodging. My guess you will have a hard time finding anything this late in the game.

Trails: Hells Revenge, Poison Spider Mesa, Fins & Things, Kanes Creek, Steel Bender

I'll be there, what sort of trails are you interested in? I'm working Cameo Cliffs on Monday and Deadman's point on Wednesday. Those are both relatively low difficulty trails with good views. Ive worked Elephant Hill in the past but got reassigned last year and EH is now being done very differently for 2016, its a more moderate trail with some challenge to it and some very good views but it is about 50 miles from town. One of my favorites is top of the world, great views at the end of it. Lots of options for you depending on what youre looking for, even Hurrah pass is worth the drive if youve not been there before, easy with good views up top.

Have fun! good luck with the lodgings, may be able to get tent camping space along Kane Creek road still if that works for you

I think will are gonna try and make that one also. Do you guys register for trails or go it like a none event?

Looks like we are going the week before EJS. I'm working around my wife's work schedule. I'm going for the "Experience", with the kiddo and rental jeep I think moderate trails with great views are what were after. Thank you "trust" for the input on the trails....

Several Scrambler guys have signed up to run Metal Masher on Monday 3/21.

Tuesday we will probably do the Crawl Readers Ride at BFE.

The other days we will do trails on our own.

I have a master suite that has come available in a really nice, new condo I have reserved south of town from Friday before EJS to the following Sunday. (9 nights) PM me for details, but only if you're interested in it for 4+ nights. Situation won't work for someone who just wants a couple nights.

I will be there at least Sat before through the week for the magazine, but I'll be running around like a madman.

I am thinking about going. It would be a last minute decision, so I haven't made any reservations yet. Might have to rough it. I took my Scrambler to moab 10yrs ago (not EJS), and now I'd like to take my Unlimited.

Terry - I'll be on Cameo Cliffs with you.

you dont have to register if you want to run stuff solo but you wont have the Safari support or leaders and on days that a trail is being used by the Safari you wont be able to use it. There are tons though that the Safari doesnt use and it only uses the more well known roads a few times during the week so there are options every day.

Will there be a designated meeting time and place for the informal runs so if we are in town we can join up?

Bob, you get your Scrambler finished up and ready to run some trails?

It is running now, working feverishly to get the finishing touches done to make it ready and give it a shakedown run or two by EJS.
