1983 Scrambler "STUMP JUMPER". Frame off, 5.3 Conversion.

I guess after all Stump Jumper has been through including a fire that I lucky to still have the owners manual. I also installed a ScanGauge2 today but the Aeroforce scan gauge is nice too.

Added roll bar and side boards today and made arrangements to have the 4:11 gears installed next week. What's that smell, could it be the finish line?

Dennis, do you have one piece axles? Do it at the same time as the gears?

By the way, the stump jumper looks awesome. Great job!

I might have a washer nozzle somewhere. The somewhere part is where I run into trouble- since our last move I can't locate a ton of stuff...

Those boards look great on there! I can't wait to hear how you're going to enjoy the 4.11's!

Dain, I put the one pc axles when I did the brakes.

I decided to take Stump Jumper down for a Louisiana State Motor Vehicle Inspection to see how bad it would be and I'll be danged if they didn't slap a approved inspection sticker on ole SJ the first time. It brings a tear to my eye to think how for I have come since bringing home that burnt out shell.

That is really awesome Dennis. Is this with the new hood or the creased one? I ask as I have not seen pics of the replacement yet.

So what is left? Short list? Long list?

Can we assume you checked the latches 2x before heading out?

This was with the bent hood. New one is being painted.

That's just plain old mean Craig... funny, but mean... ;)
I told you I had thick skin. Pile it on. Besides, How many times did I suggest to Dain that he buy a new Tub. If I am going to dish it out I darn sure better be able to take it too.

Funny thing. I was thinking about your tub earlier today and thinking, I should have gotten a steel tub while I was doing the Scrambler this past winter. Some day I will. I catch myself on CL a lot looking for fenders and hoods. Why not a whole tub? ;)

It is a sickness.

The list is getting shorter.
1. The truck is going to have a hard half cab with full hard doors. The doors will get keyless entry with power locks and also power windows from A1 Electric. Top and doors should be ready this weekend.
2. Need to run the wire to the compressor and charge the AC.
3. Found a windshield washer nozzle now I just need to install it.
4. Install the 4:11 gears next week and I decided to include a Detroit Soft-locker in the rear and open gears in the front.
5. Pour me a 8 Oz glass of Malibu on the rocks and chill.
6. Drive the chit out of it, hook it behind the Fleetwood motor coach and go visit a few of you guys.

The smell could either be more cash flying out the door or the leather in the bottom of your wallet which by now must be fully exposed.

Great work Dennis and in envious of your pit pass first attempt.
