Barely made it In here with that one AMC seat. But shows how seats were cool nutmeg nonreclining coolness and then not so cool too busy of a pattern in a YJ. :rotfl:

Idk... 2.5 and 33s work pretty well on a CJ5. beyond that it starts looking like a cartoon. Jmho. :)

My old '78 CJ-5 Levi was SOA with 35" and I thought it looked pretty rad.

Which is what's great about our jeeps. We all have our own ideals and opinions and can build them as WE want.:-) idk if its an aging thing or what but at this point in my life I am taking a greater appreciation for less modified. I look back over time and see some of my old jeeps no longer with me and some bring fond memories, others make me wonder what I was thinking! I also realize it seems like the ones I used the most, have the best memories of, are the ones I did the least modifications too.

My 67 cj5 got me to and from school daily and as my first jeep, will always have a special place. Even though it was near stock and sitting on 31s, was near useless in Georgia mud... it was what I cut my teeth on.*sorry, haven't uploaded a pic*
My 72 commando was basically bone stock but got me to and from work everyday. Only when I attempted an SOA conversion did it's reliability go away. Still have the scar on my arm from its greasy t-case ripping into a vein.

The "one that got away", which I still search for today, is my 85 CJ8. Being a young, dumb private I decided 38s were "perfect". 4" suspension, 3" body lift, and everything else stock including the 272 gears in the 2pc AMC 20 rear. Lol!

Times change as do we all. I guess as long as the Jeep brings us smiles then it can't be "wrong".

I also agree! The older I get the more I appreciate stockish Jeeps. Well, excluding the engine...;)
